On Histories of Turkish Literature
This paper mainly, concerns definition, content, method and the borders of history of Turkish literature. Besides, selected works on Turkish literature are cited in descriptive and prescriptive way. It also has a book-review and critisim of lastly written work named History of Turkish Literature (4 cilt, İstanbul: Kültür ve Turizm Bakanlığı, 2006). Finally, the question what should a history of literature genre contain is tried to be answered.
