Abstract
This literature consists of the brief biographies of 55 sufis who lived in the Ottoman territories between 1812-1925. It also contains the titles of books and dissertations directed in faculties of theology based on these biographies. It identifies the extent of the visibility of their tariqas or mashrabs in Turkish academia and the press. It also points out the original findings as well as the shortcomings of dissertations related specifically to the modern Ottoman era and more generally to the field of Sufism.
