This study focuses on Hüseyin Namık Orkun's books and articles on the Turkish History of Law. His four-volume Eski Türk Yazıtları (Ancient Turkic Inscriptions) contains the transcriptions and translations of the early writings of the Turks, hence, its special significance. This work concentrates upon the Orhun Stones, the most important inscriptions among the aforementioned writings. Also it tries to shed light on both the social structures and the legal lives of the ancient Turks.
