In this article, magazines on cinema, which constitute the groundwork of the early Turkish cinema's primary source for cinema publishing, its current form, and the cultural background of cinema, are discussed. After the archive resources, the development and transformations of the cinema can be followed, and the traces of the socio-cultural and economic situation of the society are reflected during this course, followed by a general classification based on the contents of the magazines. In this context, an evaluation is presented by providing examples from magazines on various topics that include developments and events in cinema, and by including secondary sources.
