On History of Turkish Physics- Optics

This study attempts to indicate the current position of activities in the history of Turkish physics during the Republican Period (1923-2004) within the changing conjuncture of history of science in Turkey. This work reveals the following: Studies on the history of physics have gained an impetus after the Republican Period as a result of the growth of researches in the history of science in Turkey. Studies on mechanics and optics are the most studied areas in the history of physics. But most of the studies in literature are unfortunately popular works.
