This short article attempts to make some comments on the works of Roderic H. Davison by emphasizing his place on the Ottoman-Turkish political and diplomatic history. He competently made the study of reform and modernization in the 19th century Ottoman Empire an independent subject that needs to be studied in detail. In this piece, I mainly focused on his two books and tried to discuss his remarkable contributions to the field of Ottoman studies.
