Studies on the Arts of the Book
The article introduces the studies about the arts of the book, made by several Turkish scholars whose education fields are medicine, philosophy, history, theology, literature, library science and art history. These studies dealing with the arts of Islamic book painting, illumination, book-binding and marble paper are handled in chronological order. In the article, the content of the publications belonging to each scholar are mentioned briefly and their contributions to the art history field are also expressed.
