On the Literature of Legislation in the Tanzimat Era
In the Tanzimat era, legislations can classify in three groups. First are codifications that making rule from old Ottoman law, second is reception of western law, and third are eclectic legislations. Studies on the legislation movements that approximately continued a century are not enough. The some of present studies have included the ideological approaches and the subjective opinions. Studies that detailed and purpose of understanding on the legislation movements are necessary. This article examines the legislation movement in the Tanzimat era and the literature on this subject.
