The 'Kiyâfet-Nâmes': Bibliography

The term 'ilm-i kıyâfet' refers to ways of guessing of a person's character from his ears, face or other organs. Its equivalent in the West is -physiognomy- a word of Greek origin. This article is about the 'kıyâfet-nâme' genre in Turkish literature, followed by a survey of the books, articles, theses, encycylopedia entries, and conference proceedings in this field.
